In a nutshell

This young whippersnapper was seemingly fame-hungry from the womb, attending theatre arts training school the Italia Conti Academy from five years old.
She cut her teeth in the West End stage in her early teens, staring in a number of productions before seeing an advertisement in Stage magazine for the next singing sensation and glimpsing the gold at the end of her rainbow.
So desperate was she to be a pop starlet that the cheeky so-and-so even lied about her age (15) to audition. But her age soon played second fiddle to the dollar signs little Pixie was liable to earn and before long record companies were bidding to sign her up in the US and UK.
Her debut single 'Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)' entered the UK singles chart at no 1 - not bad for a pop ditty basically about sneaking out of your parents house to go a snog a boy.
Since then success has followed Pixie around like a Robert Pattison groupie to a Twilight premiere. She won Best UK & Ireland Act and Best Push Artist (whatever that is) at the 2009 MTV Europe music awards and was nominated three times at the 2010 BRITS.
She may be young but she clearly isn't just a record company puppet - she's a prolific songwriter and even penned one for Alexandra Burke's debut album, though she may not be winning an Ivor Novello award any time soon.
