In a nutshell

One of the things we love about Prince William is that everybody feels like they know him, one way or another. Even if you're from somewhere mildly depressing you still think you could turn up to Buckingham Palace and be welcomed in from the rain with open arms for a nice cup of tea and a gossip.
Lets get his rather posh name out of the way, first of all. William Arthur Philip Louis was born to Princess Diana and Prince Charles in 1982. So he's an 80's child. And second in line to the throne. So hurry up and move out of the way, Charles, and let this lad get to work!
Although guarded a lot from the press while growing up, Prince William was at the very forefront of the news when his mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
As Prince William has grown up, so has the interest in his love life. He dated a person whose name you might recognise, Kate Middleton from 2005. Although we don't have much of a clue about her, we do know that she used to be one of his university flatmates. Of course, certain newspapers jumped on this story like Michelle McManus in a chocolate shop but the pair decided to call it a day in 2007. But is that the end of the story? They've been pictured together many times since, so who knows....
William is currently preparing for his future role as head of the British armed forces by spending time with the RAF, Navy and of course his Army duties. Lets hope he has a big gun.
