The first major success Chesney was “Fall in Love,” which reached the Top 10 in the spring of 1995. The next song “All I Need to Know” was also a hit, but the subsequent songs even reached the Top 20.
In the fall of 1996, he published his most successful song so far, which is titled “Me and You” which reached the Top 5. The song “When I Close My Eyes” was almost as successful as its predecessor. On May 9, 2005, Kenny Chesney married actress Renee Zellweger on the Virgin Islands. They had met during a charity event in January 2005. Chesney said that Zellweger was his favorite actress and wrote “You Had Me from Hello”.
After four months, September 16, 2005, Zellweger announced the separation and wanted the marriage was canceled for fraud. The reasons for separation were some differences in order of family planning – Zellweger wanted to have children, Chesney distinction. On December 22, 2005 the marriage was annulled, so that both partners had never been legally married.
