Born September 29, 1935 at Ferriday Louisiana in a poor family, Jerry Lee Lewis developed his own approach, fierce, piano from the age of 10 years, synthesizing the sounds of Boogie Woogie he listens to the radio with the Rhythm ‘n’Blue South emanating from Haney’s Big House, a “Juke Joint” (nightclub which plays the Delta Blues in the Mississippi Delta) owned by his uncle.
Jerry Lee was later recorded by his mother at Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas but did not stay very long. The siren call of music led him on a path that will change the world of music. By bringing together elements of rhythm n’blues, boogie woogie, gospel andcountry music into a sound that n’appartenient to him, Jerry Lee Lewis became a full member of the rock and roll scene that is emerging supplanting the major orchestras of popular music.

After leaving school, he does odd jobs and married twice. In 1956 he began recording for Sun in Memphis. There he met artists like Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash or Elvis Presley.
It amazes by its musical culture, and energy. He dances up in front and on his piano. With the release of Whole Lotta Shakin ‘Goin’ On and Great Balls of Fire in 1957, the flamboyant young rocker called for in the “charts” pop, rhythm and n’blues country and landed on the screens for roles in performance High School Confidential movies and Jamboree. When Elvis Presley Jerry Lee Lewis has been playing, he said that if he could play piano like that, he would stop singing. His meteoric career was stopped in the middle path by his third marriage in 1958.
