Zoe Wanamaker Biography

In a nutshell

Don't shout at me for scraping the barrel! Honestly. But hey, Zoe Wanamaker is not an ex-Big Brother contestant so we're onto a good thing already.
Born in New York, Zoe probably confused you with her random accent which sounds like a cross between somebody from the Bronx and the Queen. However don't be deceived! Her father moved across to the UK in 1952 after being blacklisted, which doesn't sound very nice but we're sure was absolutely fine in the end. Maybe.
She became a British citizen in 2000 so she could get her CBE from the Queen. If she hasn't, she would only have received an 'honorary decoration' from the Foreign Secretary which sounds a bit pants when you think about it.
We've only really seen Zoe in the terrible comedy My Family on the BBC. She's the mother, of a family, and they try to be funny but it doesn't really work and then we switch off. In fact, we switched off some years ago although we've heard they're still making the show. Why? The budget could go on a few more episodes of Chucklevision or something...
