In a nutshell

We'll never forget our first encounter with 'TV's Terri Hatcher'. It wasn't a real-life encounter, obviously, so you'll probably remember this one too. The huge window at the Daily Planet building blows open and in she comes, floating down in the arms of Superman. Them were the days!
Born in California, one of Teri's earliest jobs was as a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers ? so just imagine her shaking her pom-poms, guys...
One of her most iconic roles (and perhaps biggest breaks) came in 1993 when she was chosen to play the role of Louis Lane in The New Adventures of Superman, the family drama which was usually shown on Saturday nights before Noel's House Party, remember? One of the publicity shots, showing Teri wrapped in a Superman cape, was apparently downloaded over 20,000 times. And we're talking 1995, when the internet was very, very early days. Blimey, one track minds or what!
When that series ended there were various other roles for Teri including the spectacular Spy Kids movie, the TV show MacGyver and, of course, her stint as a Bond girl alongside Pierce Brosnan in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies.
There seems to be a trend of Bond girls disappearing into obscurity but that certainly isn't the case with Teri. She's now one of America's highest-paid actresses (or do we have to call her an actor? We can't remember) thanks to her role as the wonderfully stupid Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives. She's been knocked over the head, had her house burnt down and many more scrapes besides ? but don't feel sorry for her, she's won a Golden Globe for her performances.
Despite being a pretty decent looking young lady, Teri's marriages haven't worked out quite well. She married firstly in 1988 but divorced a year later, with her second marriage taking place in 1994 and, yep, ending in divorce in 2003.
