In a nutshell
Rob Bryon has 'been around a bit' but he never seems to have a dud role. He started out by studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama which sounds great but didn't graduate because he ended up taking a job with his local radio station, BBC Radio Wales. He stayed there for around 6 years and presented their Saturday morning show. His first major success was the BBC comedy 'Human Remains' which he wrote with another comedy legend, Julia Davis. Although writing a critically-acclaimed television show is rewarding, Rob seems to enjoy doing lots of voiceover work and appearing in adverts. We're guessing they pay well, so who can blame him? He's been seen or heard on ads for McDonald's, Toilet Duck, Tango, The Times, Tesco and Abbey National to name but a few. Nice work if you can get it, Mr Bryden...
Radio 4 listeners will know that Rob took part in the 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' show on which he surprised the masses with a half-decent singing voice for the Pick-up Song round. He did so well that he made frequent appearances as the Tom Jones expert, giving his own twist on hits like Sex Bomb and She's a Lady.
Rob's presented an episode of BBC One's Have I Got News For You as well as his role as Bryn West, Stacey and Jason's uncle. Fans will know that the character is slightly overprotective and can get excited about quite trivial things. And that's on top of the regular suggestions that he might like batting for the other team....
In his personal life Rob is happily married to his wife, Claire Holland. They have two daughters, alongside a son from Rob's earlier marriage. Rob Brydon Biography from (http://www.talktalk.co.uk/celebrity/biography/person/rob-brydon/174)
