In a nutshell

Are we nasty if we say we initially couldn't stand Jade Goody? Who agrees with us and who doesn't? We'll do a count later, keep your hands up for the moment.
Jade appeared as a simple (in more ways than one) housemate on the 2002 series on Channel 4's Big Brother. Months (literally) of dumb answers, crying and nakedness resulted in her being crowed the WINNER!!! Not really, of course. Despite being a 'favourite' she was booted out in fourth place.
What remains of the summer is supposed to be the post-Big Brother time when we see the housemates go to the odd party, appear as a talking head on a compilation clip show, that sort of thing. Then they're supposed to go away. Far away where they'll never both us again. But for some unknown reason, Jade carried on, doing things which annoyed the majority of people but earned her a lot of money.
She's appeared on dozens of celebrity magazines like heat and OK!, released several perfumes, had kids, done some fitness DVDs, appeared on all sorts of television shows... basically if you name it, she's probably done it. And I suppose it's easy to be jealous. For being quite dumb on BB she's done alright for herself!
But, it was all to come crashing down when she was talked into appearing as a new 'guest' on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. She joined the other housemates (who included her boyfriend at the time, Jack Tweed and her mother) and seemed to settle back into crazy house life quite nicely. That was until she had a few crossed words with another contestant, popular Indian star Shilpa Shetty. A huge 'racial' storm exploded and Jade was accused of being racist, although Shilpa later decided it was probably wasn't malicious on Jade's part, she just didn't know what she was talking about....
Jade was universally hated for a while, however that all came to an end when Jade was diagnosed with cancer in August 2008 whilst appearing on India's version of Big Brother.
Vowing to fight the cancer, Jade put up a brave fight, however in Feb 2009, Goody received news that the cancer was terminal.
