Buster Posey is a first-round pick (fifth player selected overall) by San Francisco Giants in 2008. In 2008 he was ranked 19th among the 50 best players of the future of baseball.

He knows early success in the minor leagues from Class AAA level in 2009. His batting average stands at 325 with 80 RBIs in 115 parts in the minors this year. After starting the 2010 season in the minors with the Fresno Grizzlies, Posey is recalled by the Giants in San Francisco May 29 June 9, he hit the first homerun of his career at the expense of Aaron Harang, Cincinnati Reds.
