In a nutshell
He spent years on the cusp of being 'the next big thing' but Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper is now on his way to being a bona-fide box-office champ. He may be best known for his comic supporting roles in films such as Wedding Crashers (2005) but Bradley Cooper has done some serious thespian leg-work. He attended the prestigious Actors Studio in New York and even working for LEAP, a non-profit organisation teaching acting and movement to inner city school children.
While still studying at the Actotrs Studio he made his screen debut in Sex and The City opposite Sarah Jessica Parker and, somewhat randomly, as the presenter for an extreme outdoor adventure series in The Discovery Channel. 'Treks in the Wild World' took him everywhere from nudist beaches in Croatia to ice climbing in the Peruvian Andes (a good warm-up for the Hollywood assault-course perhaps).
He got his first film break in the dubiously titled comedy 'Wet Hot American Summer' in 2001 (which meant he had to miss his Actors Studio graduation ceremony) before landing a role in hit TV series Alias opposite Jennifer Garner as the hapless reporter Will Tippin.
From here it was a slow but steady rise up through the ranks of supporting roles of 'best friend' and 'the other guy' in film comedies such as Wedding Crashers (2005), Failure To Launch ('06) and the Yes Man (07) opposite Jim Carey.
These roles exposed him to a wider audience but it wasn't till he starred in Golden Globe-winning hit The Hangover (2009) in his break-out role as the worst best man in history that Bradley's Hollywood star began to shine and he was promptly cast in 2010 ensemble film Valentine's Day alongside Hollywood glitterati such as Julia Roberts.
His latest starring role is in the remake of 80s TV classic The A-Team as smooth-talking ladies man The Face, the suave one out of the quartet of special forces soldiers on the run from a crime they didn't commit, this time relocated to Iraq. Bradley allegedly beat the likes of Christian Bale and Mark Walberg to the role, proving that he is now in amongst the big Hollywood players at last.
So what next for Bradley Cooper? He's currently set to reunite with pals Ed Helms, Zach Galifiniakis and Justin Bartha for The Hangover 2. Bradley Cooper - Biography from (http://www.talktalk.co.uk/celebrity/biography/person/bradley-cooper/236)
