Ant McPartlin Biography

In a nutshell

We all met Ant McPartlin when he got his big break playing PJ in the ever-amazing CBBC drama, Byker Grove. Through thick and thin, he stuck with his best mate, Duncan, even when he was shot in the eyes during a paintball game gone-wrong. Well, these little things do happen sometimes, right?
British child actors usually don't amount to much else in the world of entertainment but Ant has managed to prove a welcome exception. One of the smartest moves (although probably quite embarrassing for him now) was launching a music career, sneakily carrying over their names from Byker Grove. And with that, 'PJ & Duncan AKA' were born.
The next move was into the strange world of children's television presenting - although luckily for us, Ant - alongside Dec - ended up being pretty good at it! The Ant and Dec Show, SMTV Live and CDUK were always a good laugh, probably more so for the adults than the kids themselves...
You'll find Ant and Dec on a number of the biggest shows on the box now - I'm A Celebrity..., Pokerface, Saturday Night Takeaway, Pop Idol and Britain's Got Talent are all shows in which they effortlessly take the helm.
A massive fan of Newcastle United football club, Ant is definitely a proud Geordie and regularly heads 'home' to watch his team.
