Sharon Osbourne Biography

In a nutshell

Sharon was born, believe me or not, in Brixton. Although you wouldn't think it now, that's for sure. Born to a music promoter father, she was always part of the music industry, working for her Dad's company from an early age.
It was all this time ago that Sharon met Ozzy, who at the time was the lead singer of a band called Black Sabbath. You know, he was a little bit 'crazy' at the time, and for a second there we had a flashback to some animal or other having its head bitten off. But that's another story.
Sharon tried her hand at management, taking on Ozzy's career in 1979 when he was starting out as a solo artist. They married in July 1984 and, if you're an MTV fan, will know they have three children ? two of whom are definitely happy in the limelight (Kelly and Jack) and one who prefers the quieter life (Amy).
Now, family life can sometimes have its ups and its downs, and this family is definitely no exception. Ozzie was actually arrested for trying to MURDER Sharon at one of their daughter's birthday parties. Yikes!
Sharon battled cancer and, thankfully, survived to tell the tale in her autobiography.
She joined The X Factor from the launch of the show, becoming the judge who didn't win with her category but was generally nice to everybody ? except series 1 winner Steve Brookstein who she slagged off left, right and centre and annoyed Mr Cowell in the process. It's fair to say she was a bit miffed when Dannii Minogue joined the gang, eventually leaving in 2008 over a 'pay dispute'. We think she wanted more, and they wouldn't give her any. So that was the end of that.
