The Bachmann was born in Iowa into a family of Norwegian origin. After the divorce of parents, followed his mother in Minnesota and here he studied law. After marriage, he left his job as a lawyer for the Department of the Treasury, in order to devote himself to his five children. Over the years, Bachmann also adopted 23 children.
