The Bachmann was born in Iowa into a family of Norwegian origin. After the divorce of parents, followed his mother in Minnesota and here he studied law. After marriage, he left his job as a lawyer for the Department of the Treasury, in order to devote himself to his five children. Over the years, Bachmann also adopted 23 children.
Despite being raised in a Democratic family, Bachmann has become the Republican as an adult, reading a book by Gore Vidal, Burr.

Politically, Michele Bachmann has been an active advocate of dialogue with Iran, the teaching of creationism in public schools, evolution and abortion, but only in cases of rape or incest.
