Rajon Rondo Biography – Biographyzone.com. Rajon Pierre Rondo (Louisville, February 22, 1986) is an American professional basketball player, a professional in the NBA with the Boston Celtics. He played for two years at the University of Kentucky before being selected by the Phoenix Suns during the 2006 NBA Draft, and being traded to Boston, where he made his debut in the NBA. Currently, he holds Rondo at point guard for the Celtics, alongside the “big-three” format from Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

High school and college
Pierre Rajon Rondo Lousiville attended Eastern High School for three years, coached by coach Doug Bibby. Rondo was selected for the McDonald’s All-American Team in 2004 and scored a total of 14 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. In his senior year, Rondo had 31 assists in one game, just 4 from the historic national record of 35.
He then chose to play for Kentucky, while he was initially willing to play for Louisville, the great rival university in Virginia (the main choice was the University of Louisville Sebastian Telfair). Rondo has subsequently taken advantage of the scholarship offered by Tubby Smith (Kentucky coach). University still holds the record for rebounds by a guard caught, with a total of 19 early-season defeat against Iowa. Following the 2005-06 NCAA season, Rondo has announced that it would have blown his last two seasons at Kentucky and that it would be declared eligible for the NBA draft.

It was the 21st overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Draft in 2006. During the first season in the NBA has not played a lot: the owner was in fact play the role of Delonte West, Rondo, however, managed to close his first season with averages of 6.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds. Rajon has starred in a regular season with 10.6 points per game, 5.1 assists per game and 4.2 rebounds per game, during which also takes part in the Rookie Challenge during the sophomore All-Star Weekend in New Orleans .
For the NBA playoffs still surprises Rondo, counting 10.2 points per game, 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds average medium, placed on the scoresheet despite knee problems experienced with the NBA Finals. Rondo can not play the race-6 of the NBA Finals where letters 21 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 6 steals well, allowing the Celtics to win the game and then the 17th ring.
