Nicollette Sheridan Biography

In a nutshell

If you're a fan of Channel 4's Desperate Housewives then you'll know Sheridan. She first hit the scene in Paper Dolls ? an American soap which you probably won't have heard of - but it was really her role in legendary drama Knots Landing which made her famous. Her character Paige Matheson (we thought they were a brand of sausages) wasn't full-time but she was so popular that she was made more regular. We don't really remember if she was that good but don't take our word for it ? she won an award for 'Outstanding Lead Actress' in 1990.
Let's fast forward to 'modern times' and you'll know Nicolette as the brilliantly saucy/devious/funny Edie Britt in Desperate Housewives. Although she'd gone out of the spotlight for a while this was the show to really bring her back. We don't remember her being pushed as one of the main 'housewives' on the show but she gradually managed to work her way to the front, regularly outshining the others.
Nicolette's love-life looks a little bit like it was written for a soap storyline, but there's no fun in a happy marriage, right? She was in a relationship with singer Michael Bolton between 1993 and 1995 but things didn't work out. The end. Well, not quite. They started dating again over ten years later (err...) and in 2006 they announced they were engaged to be married. The end. Well, not quite ? again.
