Michael C Hall seems to have a knack of picking the very best roles.
You'd firstly have known him as David James Fisher in the brilliantly dark Six Feet Under. A huge success for Michael, he was nominated at the 2002 Emmy Awards as well as sharing a Best Ensemble cast award in 2003 and 2004.
Michael played the role of Billy Flynn in a touring production of Chicago in 2003 and in the same year starred in the movie thriller Paycheck.
Michael married actress Amy Spanger in 2002 and the pair worked together on musical Chicago before divorcing in 2006.
Michael's latest ? and probably most acclaimed role ? is in Dexter, the show revolving around a forensic expert (Dexter Morgan) who likes to take revenge on bad people by killing them. Sure there are other ways ? send a nasty text, call somebody a horrible name, but murder? Thing is, he pulls it off with such style. When the show started in 2006 it was well received by viewers and critics. Michael was nominated for a 2007 Golden Globe award and again in 2008, while the show itself was up in the Drama Series category of the Emmy's in 2008.
It was reported in the summer for 2008 that Michael is now dating his co-star, Jennifer Carpenter. This is absolutely fine, except she plays Dexter's sister in the show.
