Leighton Meester Biography

In a nutshell

Leighton was born in somewhat of a tricky situation ? her mother was in prison at the time, serving time for drug offences. But worry not, things appear to have worked out for the best with Leighton herself stating that it's only made her more open and less judgemental than most. Aaah.
Although born in Texas, Leighton grew up in Florida and moved at the age of 11 to New York. She really made it early and started working as a model, featuring in a Ralph Lauren campaign shot by legendary photographer Bruce Weber. Her acting debut came in an episode of Law & Order but it wasn't long until she was on the move again. Aged 14, she went across to live in Los Angeles.
If you're a fan of Entourage you might know that Leighton starred as singer Justine Chapin. Plenty of other TV roles followed, with Leighton featuring in House, Surface, Numb3rs and Shark. None of which we find particularly entertaining. Until...
Gossip Girl is a hit show on American channel The CW in which Leighton plays the rich, sexy and downright bitch Blair Waldorf. Alongside her sexy co-stars the show looks like it's going to be pretty memorable for a long time to come.
But wait, what's this? Actress decides she wants to sing, too? Oh, that's fine by us. Leighton has a recording contract with Universal Republic and is in the process of recording an electronic/pop album.
It seems love runs deep on the set of Gossip Girl, with Leighton also dating one of her co-stars. But which?
