There used to be a time when there weren't any celebrity chefs. Do you remember? Anyway, lets talk Gordon. Yes?
Gordon started his career as a professional footballer for Glasgow Rangers but, after injury, had to call it quits. He began to look more seriously at his culinary career and started out in several restaurants, working his way through the ranks in a notoriously difficult industry. He worked with Marco Pierre White and Albert Roux. Yes?
In the 90s there was a sudden explosion of 'TV chefs' and Gordon was a refreshing break from people like Ainsley Harriot, mainly because he swears a lot. And we like that.
Now massively successful, Channel 4 signed up Gordon for a number of TV shows like 'Kitchen Nightmares', where Gordon was flown in to rescue a failing restaurant, to the successful 'F Word' which sees Gordon inviting celebs into the kitchen to cook for a restaurant full of people who will either pay for the food or, in most cases, won't.
