Ed Westwick Biography

In a nutshell

If you've ever watched Gossip Girl you'll know that, out of all the boys, there's one who stands out head and shoulders above the rest with his dry, gravelly and DARE WE SAY SEXY voice, brilliant dress sense and witty lines. Yep, it's Chuck Bass.
Starting out at the critically-acclaimed National Youth Theatre, Ed took some of the roles that actors starting out in the business know and love - BBC One's Doctors, Casualty and ITV's short-lived psychic show, Afterlife. We didn't see him in any of these and quite regret it now, actually.
Although in Gossip Girl he's clean-shaven to within an inch of his life, Ed seems to be a bit of a rocker at heart. He's fronted a band, The Filthy Youth, although his commitments over in New York have meant the band are indefinitely on-hold.
So it looks like things are going well for Ed - he's been signed to become the new face of K-Swiss (by that we mean he'll be advertising for them, not having them implanted onto or into his lovely face) and he's going to be pouting alongside his co-star Leighton Meester when they start work advertising clothing line ASK Enquired.
Gossip Girl has propelled Ed to a new level of fame and that means big movie offers! He's already been cast as Heathcliff in a new version of Wuthering Heights and it's rumoured he'll guest in the new series of Californication.
Chuck - sorry, we mean Ed - is busy filming the third series of Gossip Girl in New York and we literally cannot wait to see it.
