Dale Winton Biography

In a nutshell

Dale is a favourite of everyone, right? The lovely guy was born in London in 1955, and started his career working in radio ? notably for Radio Trent in Nottingham where was presented his popular show from 1975 until 1984.
His best-loved show is well known amongst the students and unemployed ? it's Supermarket Sweep! The show which saw contestants run around the aisles of a fake supermarket became a massive hit in the 90s, and made a brief comeback ? but it's not the same in the cold light of day :(
Best buddies with Cilla Black (hmm), Dale has been on all matter on TV shows in his time. Pets win Prizes, In It To Win It and ? our new favourite ? Hole In The Wall, the UK version of the Japanese hit which sees celebs trying to dive through differently shaped holes in a wall which is hurtling towards them. Genius!
We don't know if you saw it but one of the strangest pieces of 'reality' television ever featured Dale getting 'married' to Nell McAndrew, the ever-so-smiley model. The whole thing was captured on film, from the preparations right through to the vows. But still to this day we don't think either of them have actually denied it was a fake, despite it being BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS.
