In a nutshell

It sounds to us like Blake was always going to be an actress. Her parents taught acting classes and so she used to attend those instead of being left with a babysitter.
Her first major role was in a film we don't remember, despite its bizarre title. 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' was released in 2005. She starred alongside America Fererra (UGLY BETTY!) and a sequel was released in 2008. We still don't have a clue what it's about.
Blake was cast in what is arguably the lead role in Gossip Girl, the hit show that anyone who's anyone loves at the moment. The character of Serena van der Woodsen is nothing short of an annoying, spoilt little rich girl but you know what, we love it. And Blake manages to pull it off in complete style.
Blake mixes business with pleasure and is dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley who plays Dan.
